CHINESE CANTON SILK PANEL WITH HARDWOOD FRAME, 19TH CENTURY

A framed Chinese Canton silk panel with a hardwood frame and stand dating from the 19th century. The embroidery features peacocks in a landscape scene with other birds. The stand and frame features mother-of-pearl inlay of flowers and the Sanxing. Dimensions are: 19 1/4 inches tall X 13 1/2 inches wide, 48.9 cm X 34.3 cm, while the frame and stand measures 28 3/4 inches tall X 19 inches wide, 73 cm X 48.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.
